Azden WDR-LT True-Diversity Lapel Mic System

A VHF "true diversity" receiver, designed to help the videographer to create quality audio, with less chance of dropouts. The nature of RF signals is such that they bounce off walls or structures, creating "dead spots", or sudden loss of signal. The WDR-PRO, with 2 selectable frequencies, 2 front-end receivers inside the case, and 2 antennas, has been designed to overcome this inherent problem. Both receivers are set to the same frequency and the WDR-PRO's circuitry selects the receiver with the stronger signal from the microphone and accepts this signal. Hence less chance of dropouts. Azden ECZ-990 Zoom Mic

The pick-up pattern of the built-in microphone on camcorders is omni-directional, meaning that it picks up all sounds in every direction equally, no matter which direction you point the camcorder. The ECZ-990 is a 6" long directional, or "zoom" microphone with a super-cardioid pattern (ellipse shaped). It will pick up your subject's sound more clearly reducing side noises.
