Broadcast-Quality 3D Effects Powered by Matrox Flex 3D
Matrox RT2000 harnesses the power of Matrox Millennium graphics accelerator technology via the revolutionary new Matrox Flex 3D architecture to deliver realtime, broadcast-quality 2D and 3D digital video effects and transitions. With MEGA Pack, you get over 1,000 realtime filters and transitions including particle effects, 3D tiles, distortion effects, page curls, organic wipes and 2D and 3D DVEs. You can keyframe perspective settings such as rotation, size and position. The fact that Flex 3D is fully programmable means that additional effects can be easily
added via supplementary software.
Mega Pack Keyframer
Mega Pack Keyframer lets you control exactly when your FX happen, where they happen and what motion paths you want to add - all in Real-Time!! The keyframer creates a mini timeline of the transition, allowing you to set points in the timeline that manipulate your FX. You set what you want the video to look like at these key points, and the software fills in the rest. Without keyframing you are not able to control where and when your FX and transitions take place.
With the RT2000 KeyFramer you can update these keyframe points in real-time and actually manipulate the different components of these effects with drag & drop ease. As an example, lets use a 10 second picture in picture effect. I set my in point at the upper right hand corner. 3 second into the video I want the PIP to fly onto the screen and expand to ¼ screen in the lower left hand corner. At 7 seconds I want to add a page-peel to the PIP and then have it flutter off the screen by second 10. With the RT2000 this is simple, easy and FAST. Since you don't have to spend time RENDERING, you can spend your time being CREATIVE! If you change your mind and you want to alter the movement of the fly-in, or go with a different 3D FX you can - IN REAL-TIME!! Particle effects
Realtime 3D particle effects include explosions, shatters, and shaped cut outs controlled byreal-world attributes such as gravity and dispersion. Particle effects can be used within AdobePremiere 6.0 as transitions and filters on video or graphics.

Matrox File Converter utility
The Matrox File Converter is an easy-to-use program for converting your MPEG-2 or DV video
files and associated audio files to various formats. You can select any of the following conversion
types:
Matrox MPEG-2 IBP AVI + WAV to MPEG-2 Program (.mpg)
Use .mpg files for distribution on the web, video servers, networks, etc.
Matrox MPEG-2 (IBP or I-Frame) AVI to MPEG-2 Elementary (.m2v)
Use .m2v files with DVD authoring programs that don't support Matrox MPEG-2 AVI files.
Matrox DV AVI + WAV to VFW DV AVI
Create single Video for Windows AVI files from Matrox DV AVI and associated WAV files so that
you can easily use them in your Video for Windows programs.
VFW DV AVI to Matrox DV AVI + WAV
Split any Video for Windows DV AVI file to separate Matrox DV AVI and WAV files that will play

1394 hot swap
You can now disconnect and reconnect your DV-1394 device even with Adobe Premiere running!
There's no need to quit and reload the application when you want to change your DV-1394
device.
Four-channel DV audio support
When capturing DV clips over the 1394 interface, you can choose to simultaneously capture
either two 16-bit 48-kHz channels or four 12-bit 32-kHz audio channels. This feature lets you
capture the extra two channels of audio used for voiceover tracks or music tracks available on
some cameras.
DVCPRO support
Panasonic's DVCPRO format is now fully supported for capture and print-to-tape. PAL users
benefit from DVCPRO's 4:1:1 sampling structure as opposed to standard DV's 4:2:0 sampling
structure.
Analog MPEG-2 I-frame or IBP capture with DV-1394 device control
You can use the device control from your 1394 connection to capture the analog input from your
DV-1394 device, which lets you capture to MPEG-2 I-frame or MPEG-2 IBP format. For example,
you could capture the S-Video input to MPEG-2 I-frame format at a low bit rate for offline work.
Enhanced A/V sync on both analog and 1394 capture
A new and improved capture engine ensures that you can keep weak analog video signals in
sync with the accompanying audio signal.
Improved stability
Significant enhancements to the Matrox RT2000 software offer improved performance and
reliability.
Improved audio scrubbing
Audio scrubbing is much more responsive, and you can now monitor all audio through the
RT2000 breakout box while editing in Adobe Premiere.
